William Ashley

Artist Bio

William Ashley is an independent electronic music producer, sound designer, and audio software developer based in Georgian Bluffs, Ontario, Canada. With roots tracing back to the mid-1990s, William crafts synth- and sample-driven tracks using FL Studio as his primary DAW, complemented by explorations in Luna, Bitwig, Reason, and custom tools.

His work bridges creative sound exploration with technical innovation, including original VST3 plugin development in JUCE with open source GPLv3 licensing. Operating from rural Ontario, William is committed to artistic independence, ethical technology use in music, and contributing to Canada’s indy music and digital arts scene through tutorials and open sharing.
