Customer Authorization. By submitting media for digitization, you confirm that you own the material or have obtained all necessary permissions from the copyright holder(s) to authorize reproduction and format conversion.
Accepted Material. I gladly digitize personal home videos, family recordings, original music, independent artist recordings, business archives, and other media that you own or are authorized to reproduce.
Unavailable Services. No unauthorized duplication of commercially released music, films, television programs, software, or any other copyrighted works since it is illegal to do so. A waiver is required attesting to the ownership of the copyright / reproduction rights of the materials.
Media Handling. Every effort is made to safely handle aging media using professional equipment and archival practices. Because magnetic tape, vinyl, film, and other legacy formats may deteriorate over time, successful recovery cannot be guaranteed. William Ashley Music is not responsible for loss resulting from the pre-existing condition or failure of original media. Documentation/recording of the recovery process can be made available on advance request.
Privacy Confidentiality. Your recordings and personal media are treated as confidential to the extent permitted by Ontario/Canadian law. Please do not send illegal content that would violate criminal laws to transfer or possess.
File Retention. File retention can be organized for a fee otherwise they will be deleted after delivery receipt unless archival storage has been arranged. Make a backup. Backup archival can be facilitated if desired.
